Special Education Services

The majority of students with IEPs receive their educational programs in the same schools that they would attend if they did not have disabilities. Here is a list of educational programs that your child may receive in a district 1-32 school.

General Education

With Related Services

Your child will be educated in the same classroom as non-disabled peers. They will receive related services, such as physical therapy or counseling, in the classroom or in a separate location.

With Special Education Teacher Support Services

In a program with Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS) your child will be educated in the same classroom as non-disabled peers. They will receive direct or indirect SETSS from a special education teacher. Your child's IEP may recommend:

  • Direct SETSS
  • Indirect SETSS
  • A combination of the two
