Welcome to Michael E. Berdy School for the Arts! I am incredibly proud of our caring staff and energetic scholars. Thank you for selecting The Great 188 to be your child’s educational institution. It is a tremendous honor, and we know that it is a great responsibility.

P.S. 188 is a great place to be for your future leaders. We strive to prepare our students for the demands of the ever-changing world. The staff is committed to developing and creating a higher learning experience for all learners in our vibrant school community. We use data to assess the interests of our students then incorporate the information to plan activities and lessons that stimulate the minds of our students. The instructional and social-emotional activities are designed to foster deeper connections to standards that will translate to a greater experience in future world endeavors.

P.S. 188 staff is committed to creating a learning environment and enriching experiences that are designed to meet the individual needs of each scholar. The school’s partnership cultivates opportunities for students to participate in culturally enriched and standard-based activities.
